Fire Safety and Evacuation Policy

In the event of a fire you should :

• Sound the alarm – located near the fire exits or shout FIRE loudly.
• DO NOT run or panic.
•  DO NOT stop to collect belongings.
• Exit the building by the nearest FIRE EXIT as shown by Green Fire exist signs on each floor.
• Fire Marshalls for each floor will close all doors.
• Fire Marshalls will ensure the staff and learners evacuate the building in an orderly fashion.
• Use the STAIRS.
• DO NOT use the LIFTS.
• Disabled and injured individuals should wait by the REFUGE POINTS- located by the lifts on each floor, for the Emergency Services.
• Report to the Assembly Point- located outside the Mosque Premises.
• Report and stay with the Venue Staff and wait for Fire Marshall at the Assembly Point.
• SO NOT leave the Assembly Point without permissions from Venue staff.
• Fire Marshall will advise you when it is safe for you to return to the building.
• Return to the building in an orderly fashion.
